Custom FDM 3D Printing Services

Printforgers is an owner-run shop for custom filament (FDM) 3D printing. Bring a printable STL or 3MF file for a prototype, organizer, enclosure, display piece, or everyday functional part.

Upload your model, choose material, color, strength (infill), and quantity, then review the print price. Shipping to supported United States addresses is calculated in the cart before payment.

What the shop offers

Your model. Practical options. Direct support.

FDM prints plastic filament in visible layers. It is useful for trying a design and making practical parts; it is not the same finish or performance as a molded or machined part.

Parker Throneberry runs production and support. Ask about an unusual application before ordering.

What you can have printed

A single custom part, several designs, or multiple copies can go through the same quote. Examples of suitable applications include fit-check prototypes, desk organizers, covers, low-load holders, and decorative models. These are use cases to discuss, not certified performance claims.

Each file keeps its own settings. Apply one choice to selected files or use Edit only this file when a project needs different materials, colors, infill, or quantities.

Choose for the conditions your part will face

PLA is a useful starting point for indoor display pieces and early prototypes. Compare PETG for everyday handling and ABS for applications with greater heat or impact demands. The live quote lists available materials and colors; stock can change.

ASA is available by request, outside the standard online configurator. Contact the shop with the intended use to check suitability, availability, and price. FDM is the supported online printing process; other processes are not offered through this quote flow.

File size, part dimensions, and practical limits

Upload STL or 3MF files up to 50 MB each. The quote checks the measured model dimensions against the current FDM build limit. A model that fits the build volume can still need changes if its geometry is difficult to print.

Visible layer lines, support contact marks, orientation, thin walls, and shrinkage can affect the result. Infill alone does not guarantee strength. Ask before ordering a tight fit or a part exposed to load, heat, or outdoor conditions; do not assume a printed part has a safety or engineering certification.

Price, production timing, and shipping

Custom pricing starts from your processed model and a minimum item price, with adjustments for material, color, and infill; quantity multiplies the unit price. You see the print estimate while configuring the file. The cart adds shipping and rechecks the order before checkout.

The shipping quote shows an order-level processing estimate based on the production queue and your order. Carrier transit comes afterward. There is no fixed turnaround for every part, so contact the shop before ordering for a deadline.

What happens after you order

Custom files and premade store prints can share one cart. Review the chosen settings, quantities, shipping service, and total, then pay through Stripe checkout. Payment confirmation is followed by production, checking, packing, and shipment.

For a damaged, incorrect, or materially different item, contact support with the order number and photos so the shop can review a remedy. Custom prints have different return conditions from premade products.
