How It Works

How Printforgers Works

There are two ways to order: upload your own STL or 3MF file for a custom FDM print estimate, or pick a premade design from the store. File processing can take longer for complex models.

Both end up in the same cart, so you can mix your own files with store prints and check out once.

One cart

Custom orders and store products meet in one cart.

The custom quote page is for STL and 3MF files and per-part print settings.

The store is for premade prints that already have images, options, and pricing prepared.

Shipping and payment happen later from the shared cart once the order is ready.

Before you start

Prepare a printable STL or 3MF, up to 50 MB per file, at the intended dimensions. The upload measures the geometry and checks the current FDM build limit. A 3MF project becomes one quote item; export separate files if parts need different settings.

You can also try a Printables or MakerWorld model link and select its files. If the provider requires sign-in or blocks import, download from the original site and upload directly. Use models you have permission to have printed.

Custom 3D print quote flow

Upload your STL or 3MF files, choose a material, then a color and strength (infill). Your choices apply to the selected files.

Review the whole project before continuing. Use Edit only this file to give one part different settings or quantities, then continue to the shared cart.

Premade product flow

Browse ready-to-order prints in the store, open a product page, choose the available options, and add it to the cart.

This is the faster path when you do not have an STL or 3MF file ready and only need to choose the available product options.

Shipping and checkout

When your cart is ready, enter a supported United States address to calculate shipping. Review the selected carrier service, order-level processing estimate, and total before payment. Editing the cart or destination requires a fresh shipping quote.

Payment goes through Stripe checkout. Opening checkout is not a completed purchase; the order must have confirmed payment before entering the paid production queue.

After payment is confirmed

The shop prints your order, checks the parts, and packs them for shipment. Production timing depends on the order and queue; carrier transit begins after production.

Contact support with your order number if something arrives damaged, incorrect, or materially different. Review the return policy before ordering, since custom prints and premade products have different return conditions.

Need something unusual?

Odd part, tight tolerance, bulk run? Email the shop before you order — it's one person answering, and figuring out weird projects is half the fun of running this place.
