Get Your STL or 3MF Files 3D Printed
Have a 3D model but no printer? Upload an STL or 3MF to Printforgers and configure a custom FDM print. You can add several files and choose different settings for each part.
Use this checklist before uploading so the file represents the part you want made. A photo, drawing, or CAD project file is not a substitute for the printable STL or 3MF in the normal quote flow.
STL or 3MF. Up to 50 MB per file.
Check your exported geometry and intended dimensions. The upload measures the model and checks the current FDM size limit.
Choose your material, color, and strength here, even if a 3MF already contains slicer settings.
1. Export the model at the intended size
Export STL or 3MF from your modeling software. STL does not reliably carry a unit declaration, so export at the intended millimeter scale and check the Model size shown after upload. Check a known measurement rather than relying only on how the preview looks.
Each file can be up to 50 MB. STL files must be at least 5 KB for the current upload validation; a valid compressed 3MF can be smaller. If a very simple STL is rejected as too small, check the export or contact support rather than padding the file with unrelated data.
Use closed, printable geometry and check thin walls, floating details, and clearances between mating parts. The upload may reject invalid or oversized geometry. If a model is too large, revise it in your modeling software or ask the shop before planning a split assembly; uploading does not provide a design or scaling service.
2. Understand how a 3MF is handled
Printforgers reads the supported build geometry from a 3MF and normalizes it for the printing pipeline. A multi-object project becomes one quote item containing that geometry; it is not automatically separated into individual cart lines.
Embedded slicer settings, material assignments, and colors do not control the order. Your Printforgers selections set material, color, and strength. If separate parts need different settings or quantities, export them as separate files. A 3MF containing several parts or plates must still pass the upload's measured dimension checks.
3. Upload directly or try a model link
The quote also accepts HTTPS model-page links from Printables and MakerWorld. Review the listed STL/3MF files or print profiles and select only the versions you need; folders can include alternatives or duplicate parts.
Model-site access rules can block server imports. MakerWorld downloads commonly require sign-in. Open the original site, obtain the files there with the required access, and upload them directly if importing is blocked. Signing in or completing verification in your browser does not transfer that access to Printforgers. Use designs you have the rights or permission to have printed.
4. Configure, review, and order
After a file is processed, select material, color, strength (infill), and quantity. Checked files receive bulk choices, while Edit only this file lets you configure one part separately. Review every file before continuing to the cart.
The cart calculates shipping for your supported US address and shows the processing estimate and total before payment. For a deadline, close fit, or unusual use, contact the shop before checkout.
No printable file yet?
The store offers premade designs with their available options, so you can order without supplying a model. If you are developing your own part, export the model from your design tool first. Contact support to discuss an unusual project; a custom design or engineering service is not included in the automated file quote.
